Fry in an oven pot with mashed potatoes


The amazing flavors make the dish star meat by mixing simple ingredients into a food dish. Our southern family has been going through this recipe for many years and have enjoyed many memories of eating this delicious homemade classic. Save the broth, whichever is desirable, to make tasty gravy using flour or corn flour.

  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 (10.5 oz) cans of compressed beef broth (similar to Campbell)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 white onion, chopped large
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 (16 oz) carrot package, peeled
  • 1 fresh rosemary sprig
  • mashed potatoes:
  • 5 pounds of Yukon Gold Potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 (12 oz) milk may evaporate, or as needed
  • Cup of butter
  • salt to taste

Step 1

Season the roast with salt and pepper; In a large, deep frying pan or Dutch oven, watch on medium heat until browned, about 10 minutes per side.


Step 2
